PCT – Kaptiel 15 : Mot Kanada!

The power of nature. 🌊
Few things can make me feel so small and so big at the same time.
.
This pic is from one of the places I visited in Aruba. A place close to the water where we had one of the photo shoots and the extreme waves from the ocean suddenly reminded us how small we are. And at the same time, how powerful it is to be part of all this and how we only by trusting ourself, by making the right decisions, we can be able to enjoy the powerful conditions nature can put us in.
.
For nature, I’m nobody - but for myself, I’m everything.
It's a wrap! After 2 weeks and more than 20k photos, I leave the amazing Aruba island. Our photo shoots has taken us all over the Island, we've been in caves, abandoned houses, cactus fields, natural pools, on SUP boards, a sail boat, bumpy dirt roads, fantastic street art streets, at yoga sessions, carnivals and so much more! It's been really intense but I've also had so much fun!
.
Thank you @yoga_girl, @amelie_rehnvall and @sandra_planeta for being such an amazing crew! And of course also @dennisfromsalad and @loving.lealuna ❤️🙏☀️
.
The work will be published later this year, but till then I'll post some more pics from the island the upcoming days.
I ❤️ dirt roads!
.
My two weeks in Aruba has been spent a lot on these and I love the feeling of traveling on a road that might take you to a secret spot, a spot that only the ones that knows the path knows exist.
.
1 year ago I made myself a promise to stop taking the highways in life and instead explore where the smaller roads can take me. To discover things I don't even know exist. Literally, but also how I live my life and make choices in it. It's gone pretty good so far and I will do my best to keep doing it in the future. Its amazing how life opens up when you step outside your comfort zone! 👊❤️

Sometimes you just need to take a step aside and clear your head. After doing photo shoots for 9 days straight, from morning till night, it was nice to finally get an afternoon off and do something completely different: Snorkling!
Now my body's full of energy again and the rest of the week feels just as exciting as the first day!
.
So if you struggle with something, don't push it. Take a break. Do something different. You will feel much better and clearer afterwards! 🌟
What is it with abandoned houses that's so fascinating? Maybe it is the feeling that time has stopped or the thoughts you get in your head when you start thinking about that someone used to live here and what made them leave the house? Or is it the feeling of nature taking over the human structure? Anyway they always fascinates me. What about you? You like them or not? Why?
So what am I doing in Aruba? As some of you might already found out I'm here working with the amazing @yoga_girl Rachel Brathen!
.
Rachel who also is from Sweden, moved here to Aruba 8 years ago after traveling around in Costa Rica and Central America exploring the intricate studies of yoga and spirituality.
She's an author, serial entrepreneur and international yoga teacher.
On top of that, she also runs both the foundations @sgtpeppersfriends and @109world
And the yoga studio @island.yoga and @oneoeight.tv (an online platform for yoga, meditation, and healing).
🙏☀️
.
The results of the 2 week photo shoot we're doing will be out later this year, but here's a sneak peak from one of the shoots we did some days ago!

The first thing you think of when you thinking about Aruba are probably white beaches, palm trees and clear turquoise water, but this island has so much more to offer! Yesterday I had the luxury to be guided around the island to see some of the most beautiful places. Caves, harsh lava rock landscapes and colorful cities for example. This is from where we waited for the sun to rise in Arikok National Park.
.
So even if you're in the most touristy place ever, just try to think outside the box, there's so much more to explore out there. 💕
NEW ADVENTURE : Tomorrow I leave Sweden for two weeks in sunny Aruba! Even if I like the winter it's gonna be nice with some sun and warm temperatures! ☀
Can't wait to discover the island and what it has to offer! Follow me on my trip both in by post and story feed 🙏💕
One of the events that is arranged by @friluftsbyn is the High Coast Winter Classic, a 3-day snowshoe hike through the Skuleskogen National Park.
I participated in this event in 2016, which definitely was an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.
This year the winter classic will take place between February 15-17. Check out their website hogakustenwinterclassic.se for tickets!
